Hope your Wednesday has been good.
I lost some blood today at school. A lady stuck a needle in my arm and drained off something like 470 mL of blood out of my body.
The Moment The Image Was Made
I had a class at college that was at night. I always hated the class, not so much because it was a bad class, but rather because it ended at like 9:00 p.m.
At any rate, when I finished the class it was always a weird walk back to the parking lot where I parked my car. In the back my mind I was always curious whether I was going to get mugged or not.
I was also always tired till I sat through a two hour class that late in the evening.
So one evening I decided to make an image that kind of captured the groggy feeling I had when I finished walking back to the car after a long class.
I definitely feel for everyone out there who has late night classes. Are they doable? Yes, but they do make life difficult in some other ways.
Technically – In Terms of Processing
Fairly simple technique and processing here. The key of course was that I took it on a tripod late at night, with a long shutter speed.
Back in Lightroom I converted the image to Black and White and gave it a Split Tone…
