Good evening friends!
Hope life is treating you well.
Today’s post is about my diet. If you aren’t interested in hearing stuff like that… you can move along.
I Love To Eat
One big thing that I am finding out. I love to eat.
Sadly, at least for my personal feelings, I can’t eat nearly as much as I want to. I guess part of the reason that a person should go on a diet occasionally is to realize just what and how they eat.
I’ve been doing fairly well at keeping myself to “low carb” foods. Occasionally I bend a few rules and eat something that doesn’t “technically” fit under that umbrella.
MyFitnessPal is Always There
I mentioned in a post the other week that I was going to be tracking my progress with the MyFitnessPal app. I have been doing that.
One of the best things about MyFitnessPal is that it is always there. Always just a few swipes of my finger away. [As long as my phone is with me.]
Having my tracking tool so close to me means that I don’t have many excuses not to track my intake of food and my occasional exercise.
So… Results?
Well here is the bottom line. Has it been working?
Interesting question. One I shall answer for you.
In a word yes. I have lost a few pounds.
How many?
Man you are full of questions.
Truth is, it depends when you start counting. Since the I’ve been following a slow carb type diet… I’m down right at 6 pounds. Yup… that’s right.
Do I Have A Goal?
A friend of mine asked what kind of a goal I had in this. I was a bit taken aback, because I have always just thought my goal was to lose weight.
But I think it is a good question, because if I don’t have a goal that I’m shooting for it will be hard to know when I’ve accomplished my goal.
And so I’ve done some thinking. I’d like to lose 30 pounds. If that takes 3 months great… if that takes 6 months great… if it takes a full year, I’m down for that.
Conclusion
Well… that is just about it for tonight. If you want to keep me accountable as I fight the daily urge to eat more than I should… you can search for this email address eymyfitnesspal@outlook.com inside of the MyFitnessPal app. Ask to be my friend, I’ll let you in.
Oh… the picture at the top… that is the result of a photoshoot yesterday. My sister and I are slowly working our way towards completing a recipe book. Yesterday we took a bunch of pictures of food. I could only eat the last thing she made. Chicken…
And I’m done.
Have a great evening!
