Center of It #2 – Light – Photo
A few weeks ago I took an image that I created a year or so ago and I did some post processing with it. When I was looking through some recent images I ran across this one and thought a similar affect might be nice.
Here is a link to the first image… maybe it will end up being a series. We shall see.
Technically
This is, in a lot of ways a rather simple image. I was testing a new camera and was shooting “whatever I could find,” which in this case is a church building that I’ve fallen a bit in love with. The camera was on a tripod and I believe I had an exposure of about a second with an aperture of about f5.6 or so.
The image first was worked with in Lightroom, from there it went into Photoshop for the light affect. This was achieved by using a circular gradient on a blank layer and then changing the blend mode on the layer with the gradient…
After the light affect was added I went back into Lightroom and made a few more tweaks. From there it was a simple filter addition in Nik’s Color Efex and then an export from Lightroom.
So The Light
I guess I’m not sure why but right now this kind of technique is interesting for me. Light is such an interesting part of what I do as a photographer the concept of light coming from a powerful source is appealing.
That is why… it feels right to me…
Thanks for stopping by!
