Today I signed into Facebook. Not so much because I like to use Facebook, but rather because the business that I do some work with has a Facebook page, part of my job is to make sure that it is kept up to date, messages get answered etc. Well, when I first signed in my news feed showed up. Which is all fine and good because it allows me to stalk my friends for a few minutes before heading to the actual Facebook page I originally signed in for. Today when I signed in… the first thing I saw was a sticker. I’d heard that Facebook was going to add stickers, but I guess I kind of brushed it off as an internet rumor. Unfortunately...
I've been telling myself for a while now that I will get back to blogging (and a number of other things) regularly "when my life finally gets back to normal."
Interestingly life hasn't seemed to slow down at all in the past number of weeks, so finally I've decided that there is only one way to get back to blogging - do it regardless of whether I feel like I have time or not.

This evening I was working on a few images that will be used for several marketing campaigns around my Dad's farm in the next few weeks. I couldn't help but notice a couple of images that I took while we were at the beach a few weeks ago... so I worked on one of them.
As I finished this one up I couldn't help but feel like it was a bit serendipitous that I would work on an image that correlated with a couple thoughts that I've been thinking lately.

I've been asked an interesting question a number of times in interviews over the past week or so. Today I thought I'd explore my response to the following question.
What do you enjoy the most about web development?
Now there is a loaded question if I ever heard one. If I say that I don't really enjoy any of it I probably won't get the job. If I say that I enjoy all of it you'll probably realize that I'm a bit disillusioned with life and move to another candidate.
So how should I respond? With the truth no doubt.
Here is what I really enjoy the most about web development...

I hope you all are doing fine.
In case you haven't noticed, I've not been posting much here in the past few weeks. There are many reasons, but I thought I'd write a bit and explain a bit why I haven't been posting.
Firstly it isn't that I don't want to write. I enjoy taking words and moulding them into something that either makes sense, evokes a feeling or asks for action. I will always enjoy the creation of content.
Instead I've found it is difficult to write these days simply because I seem to lack in the "what to create" department. I've tried to write numerous times and given up because it feels like I am writing the same thing over and over.
Here is the truth. Looking for a job can be rather discouraging.
