And The Way You Know – House – Photo
Good evening everyone. I hope your week is going well!
It’s hard to believe that this spring break is half gone. I guess that means I should start doing some more homework to get me back into “mental shape” before next Monday.
The image that I’ve chosen to share today is from a project I did for a local company last spring. I particularly like the way the sidewalk swoops around and leads the eye up towards the building.
Technically – In Terms of Processing the Image Above
I try to keep things fairly straight forward when I’m shooting a bunch of images for a client. In this case that means I shot almost all of the images with very similar settings. The ISO never changed. The F-stop stayed pretty consistent throughout and shutter speed varied to make the proper exposure.
This means that I can do a lot more “batch processing” when I get back to the digital darkroom. I can get a basic set of develop settings figured out in Lightroom and then apply that basic setting to the entire job, this give me a good starting place across the board and I can tweak every image to specifically look the way I need it to.
In this case I played around with this particular image a bit more than normal. I worked with the image in Lightroom’s Develop module and got it basically where I wanted it. The resulting image was taken into onOne’s Perfect Layers where I applied a few affects and a Black and White layer with a blending mode. By doing so I was able to stylize the image to where I wanted it.
Thanks for stopping by!
