Spring Greens At Sunset – Field – Photo
Hello everyone!
Welcome to the new week. It is my first day of Spring Break. I thought I was going to be able to spend a nice relaxing week doing all the things that I wanted to, take pictures, work on blog posts, and several other things.
Well several other things have come up and this is the last image I have prepared to post.
I guess that means that I’ll have to dig into the past or take a whole bunch of pictures in the next few days.
In Terms Of Processing the Photo Above – Technically
There are a number of things that went into making this image become what it is here.
First off it is a handheld image. I was driving down our lane one evening right at sunset and looked off towards the sunset, this is what I saw. I jumped out of the car and crouched in the grass at the edge of the field and fired a few bracketed exposures.
The post processing wasn’t quite what I normally have been doing. I worked with a single RAW file in Lightroom to get an image that was close to what I was looking for. I took the resulting image into Photoshop, I also brought the other two exposures into Photoshop and put them into layers on top of the image that was close to what I was looking for. I then used layer masks to add bits of the underexposed and overexposed versions of the image into the middle exposure. This allowed me to bring some detail back into the sky as well as the shadows.
I took that image into Topaz’s Simplify plugin. Then I went into onOne’s Perfect Photo Suite. (Try their free or trial version if you’re interested.)
That’s about it, I may have wiggled a few sliders around in Lightroom before exporting it.
Thanks for stopping by!
